BALLITO TRAVEL DIARY
Another Travel Diary 🙂
If you follow me on social media (which I hope you do, if not, why though??LOL), you will know that a few weeks ago I was away on holiday! I needed a little bit of a break, and I had initially planned it as a birthday present to myself, because, hey, you don’t turn 30 everyday do you? LOL. I’d planned it from February, and opted to take my aunt with me, purely because I wanted to relax, and rest (ironically, this is something I HARDLY do when I’m on holiday, I’d rather be out and exploring). Also, another important reason for me, to take her along with me, is because she had not ever been to the beach, and had never been on a plane before, so, I took it upon myself to help her check those things off on her list of “things to do one day”. 🙂
We flew down to Ballito, hired a run around car, and drove to the hotel (Fairmont Zimbali Lodge) where we stayed for a few days. If i had to recommend a place for you to stay if you wanted a quiet few days away with someone special, I’d DEFINITELY recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back!
The trip turned out to be a whole lot of relaxing and more! I don’t have many pictures to show you, because I did exactly what I had set out to do, RELAX. So I mostly took pictures of my aunt, and her experiences, rather than any of me. LOL.
When we got to the hotel on the first day, we dropped off our bags (which were extremely heavy by the way), freshened up, and headed back out again. I wanted my aunt to see some Sea Life, so I took her to the Aquarium, at Ushaka Marine World. One phrase only, she LOVED IT! 🙂
The remaining days really were just spent going to the beach, going for some massages, and really just relaxing, spa treatments, pigging out on room service rood, and having a great time. This trip came at the perfect time, as I had just gotten out of hospital a few weeks before, and I really wanted to go away and rest. I did just that <3
If you have been following my blog for a while now, you know how much a love to travel. Seeing the world, my country, or even just taking an hour drive out of the city for a weekend, is something I take very seriously. For me, travelling, brings relaxation, gives me a sense of peace, and learning and growth for me. If you can afford to travel, please do, there is nothing more rewarding. Go alone, sometimes go with friends, or your partner or family. Just go though. Learn new things, take the roads less traveled, get lost, eat good food prepared by a small little cottage found in the middle of the Tsitsikamma Forest in Knysna (I’ve done this, and I’ve been back there every time I return to Knysna! LOL), just explore and see new things.
You will not believe what healing and happiness it brings the soul. Use that time though, to relax, reflect, and fill yourself with gratitude. Many do not get the chance to do this. I did <3 Love.
Until the next one,
Live in Light and Love <3
