Hey Hey!

The beginning of a new year, often brings about reflective thoughts, and throwbacks to the year that was, what happened, the good the bad, what you want to do differently, in the new year, if you can. A new year, feels like a fresh start, a new chance, opportunity, a new moment to do things differently.

“Another shot….”

New opportunities, new roads, often also means leave the old ones behind. Leaving behind all the stress, the drama, the sadness, the sorrow, the despondency, the doubt- and taking the new road….

…and often when we begin this new road, we are filled with hope, faith, excitement, anticipation, sometimes fear (which is normal). For the most part though, we are HAPPY, excited and hopeful.

Contrary to what you may have seen last year on my social media, the majority of 2017 was extremely difficult for me. My family life, my private life, work life, everything. I hated 2017. No lie. I couldn’t wait for 2018, and now that 2018 is here, I’m filled with apprehension, fear and anxiety about so many things, and what this new year may bring.

It leads me to the point I’m making with this blog post. Sometimes you need to let go (fully, unequivocally, and religiously), all the things that held you back. The things that broke you as a person, and destroyed all your sense of hope and excitement when it came to living your life and looking ahead.

“Faith is moving forward even when things don’t make sense, trusting the power in hindsight…
…everything will become clear”- Mandy Hale

Sometimes you need to come to terms with the fact that things did not work out then, but you must have the faith to believe, that if you left it behind, willingly opening yourself up to the new road, the new experiences, the new emotions, the new feelings, achievements, everything will be ok. In fact, everything will be GREAT.

It’s only up to you, to want to CHOOSE to look forward and hopefully have it be better. Dealing with the challenges that come your way, and how you react to them, says a lot about who you are, and what you are about.

“Never allow anything that shouldn’t be in your life, overstay it’s welcome”.

Time to look ahead. It’s a new dawn, a new year. A new time!

All the best!

Until the next one,
