Hey hey Dolls!! 🙂
Clearly I seem to be taking a serious hiatus from the blog and my YouTube channel. Not a hiatus per se, just not uploading as much as I normally do, so instead of uploading twice a week on both platforms, I’m now uploading once a week, FOR now, because work was a little busy over the last few weeks, and my weekends have been nuts! I promise you sometimes I don’t know whether I’m coming or going! LOL, however, uploading AT LEAST once a week is STANDARD, and something you should definitely expect. 🙂
So let’s be be honest, starting off the week, is not always the same for all of us. Sometimes, we don’t want to function, we don’t want to “adult” as they say, lol. Other times, we are so pumped (we might not even understand why), but we are SO READY to take the week on. Then there are those BLUE Mondays, where you just couldn’t be bothered. Someone could steal your yoghurt from the fridge at work and you couldn’t be bothered to even ask who and why. LOL. It’s hard but EVERY important to try your level best to start your week off right.
STARTING OFF RIGHT….
In today’s blog post, I’ll be giving you some of the tips I TRY to implement to try and get my week off to the best start. How you start, can largely impact how the rest of your day will be, and, potentially how the rest of the week will look.
HERE ARE MY TIPS TO STARTING YOUR WEEK OFF RIGHT
- MAKE YOUR BED/ ORGANIZE YOUR ROOM
Unless it’s linen/laundry day, it’s always a good idea to make a habit of making your bed especially on a monday morning, but do it all week. (We all know not everyone does this). It’s just a moment for you to start being organized for the day, and a start at organizing your thoughts for the morning.
- EAT A POWER BREAKFAST
If you are a breakfast eater (which your should be, honestly), start your Monday off with a power breakfast, or rather, “a breakfast of champions”. This can be different for everyone. Maybe your breakfast of champions may be eggs and bacon on an english muffin, and for others it may be a protein shake, others, an oats and berry infusion. Whatever it is, eat a good hearty breakfast on Monday morning. It’ll make you look forward to the breakfast and change your outlook for the day.
- SET YOUR TO DO LIST FOR THE WEEK
I normally do this on a Sunday evening, however if you haven’t had time, do it in the morning first thing (while you’re eating your breakfast is a good time). Plan out your week, get organized.
- WHEN YOU FIND TIME DURING THE DAY POP INTO THE GROCERY STORE
If you couldn’t do this during the week, take your lunch break or in-between your classes to pop into the grocery store to stock up on fruits and veggies (YES, FRUITS AND VEGGIES), that will last you the week. Having fresh fruit and veggies stocked in the fridge will make cooking a healthier meal be an option when you get home from school or work. Who wants to see food spoil? So you will cook it. Get yourself into the habit of cooking daily, if you can.
- HAVE WATER WITH YOU, ALL DAY
Start on Monday, make drinking water a priority. Carry a water bottle with you all day. One on your desk, one you carry with you to class. Just have it all day. Hydrate. It’s a good habit and extremely good for your body too. I’ve noticed drinking water for me, has become such a habit, I don’t think about it anymore. Try it. Start today.
I hope these tips get you going for the week. Pace yourself. There’s no rush.
What are you rituals to get you started for the week?
Until the next one,
